Pre Natal Yoga

Pregnancy is one of the most extraordinary times in a woman's life. It is a time for nurturing Mom as well as the unborn child. It’s also time for learning to meditate and find focus in breath. Prenatal Yoga classes provide safe exercises designed to strengthen and relax the rapidly changing pregnant body, preparing one for childbirth and the opportunity for mother and child to bond prior to birth.
Prenatal Yoga goes beyond the physical realm of movement and embraces pranayama/breathing techniques that relax the mind and gives focus during times of stress and uncertainty as well as meditations that help a mother discover a deeper sense of peace. Come join the community of other women on a similar journey. All stages of pregnancy welcome. 

Blissful Heart Yoga

Yoga is a practice that evolves as you do.  It is dynamic and exploratory and can be a powerful tool to find an eternal hub of inner Peace through whatever means work best for an individual. This class will add to that "yoga tool-kit" from which you can draw what you need to find more Bliss, Joy, and Peace within yourself.  It intigrates multiple styles of yoga and includes physical postures (asana), breath-work (pranayama), meditation, mantra, chanting, and yogic philosophy.  This diverse and playful practice will release tension and long-held patterns of stress from the body - you will gain strength and flexibility both in body and mind.  All levels are welcome!  Modifications and advanced poses are encouraged to follow the practice that is right for you.

Core Conditioning

This class is designed to focus on developing the core muscle groups; the abdominals, hips and back. We will learn isolated movements to strengthen your core, attempting to alleviate back and hip pain, help improve posture and increase strength. This class all floor work, easy to follow and is open to students of all levels.

Yoga with Silks

Using traditional Yoga with the assistance of elevated silks in a hammock style, the silks create a support to help ease you gently into poses that may normally put strain on the spine, knees, shoulders or low back. When allowing the stability of the silks to guide you, your body becomes more relaxed, therefore you may find you evolve into the postures with greater ease and release. Use of the silks also assists in increasing flexibility, relieving spinal tension and decompression and greatly assists with the development of core muscles. No matter what your level of fitness, Yoga w/Silks are a wonderful way to relieve stress, calm the mind and balance the body. All classes end with a cocoon style meditation. No Yoga experience is necessary.  *All additional equipment is rock climbing gear and is certified at 1,000 pounds*
Fundamentals II
This class takes the Fundamentals I mat class to the next level integrating the principles into a more developed and mindful movement and study practice.  Basic movement principles and functional anatomy will still be practiced and addressed on a more intensive level than is offered in a normal group class setting.
Prerequisites: Fundamentals I and instructor approval.

Aging with Vitality, Pilates for 50+

Addresses & corrects the issues related to aging, such as Osteoporosis, Arthritis, breath control, muscular strength, incontinence, flexibility, and stability & balance, making for a more active & enjoyable life in the elder years. Exercises will be done at a pace in accordance with the abilities of the students.

Pilates Arc     

The Pilates Arc is a lightweight, barrel shape piece of Pilates equipment used to help strengthen and tone your abdominals and stretch and strengthen your spine.  You can enhance your mat routine by feeling the burn while you do side lying leg series on the Arc, deepen your abs in the 100's and teaser and feel your extension improving while you perform swan rocking on the Arc.  Come learn a whole new repertoire of exercises on this unique, versatile Pilates equipment.  Prerequisite: Pilates matwork level 1 proficiency.  Click here to see a demo on you tube.

Beginning Yoga

Introductory class for those who are new to Yoga, or for anyone who wants to revisit and fine tune the basics fundamentals in their practice.

YoMaDa  & Me

For Mom's and Dad's. Can't find a babysitter? No problem! Bring your child with you! Learn muscle strengthening, flexibility, breathing and relaxation techniques to deepen your connection with your body as your baby or small child (age 2 maximum) sits or plays with you through the practice. This practice is geared for all levels, as well as post natal. Please bring a carrier or small blanket for your infant or young child to sit on.

Cardio Community Walking Group

This instructor lead class gets us out of the studio and into the fresh air. We have a mapped out walk through our beautiful downtown, to invigorate your body and connect you with others in our area. This is a free class and no membership is required. All are welcome, as are strollers with Mom's, Dad's and families. For safety, our walk is mainly on sidewalk areas. Bring a friend or two!

Gentle Yoga

"Yoga is transformational; it affects every system in the body.  Blood pressure can be lowered, emotions can be calmed, and mental focus can be improved.  Physically, through consistent and gradual progression, yoga creates balance, flexibility, strength and stamina. This yoga practice offers the tools to gently transform your life.  It incorporates the time honored healing techniques that evoke the Relaxation Response: mindful movement, breathing practices, imagery, sound, and so much more from the mythology, art, and science of yoga.  Expect to be met at your beginning point where individual capabilities are honored, or to begin again, building on your existing yoga practice.  This class is for anyone wishing to experience, explore, and expand the mind, body, spirit connection. Your greatest teacher lies within and will be honored and supported.  Your teacher in this class will be your personal guide on a journey that builds body awareness, encourages emotional awakening, and promotes mental clarity.  Come prepared to experience the peace and harmony that naturally resides within each of us."

Pilates Stretch, Tone, & Balance 

This class uses classical Pilates mat exercises combined with standing exercises and props to strengthen the core, tone muscles, and increase flexibility, coordination, and balance with the goal of improving functioning in daily life.  Beginning level, but some Pilates experience is preferable.

Pilates Mat Basics

This class is for beginner level students as well as for students that want to focus on consistency with the fundamentals of their practice.  Time will be taken to focus on basic skills so that a good grasp on the technique can be developed and progressed with time.

Yoga Flow

Flow Yoga is a balanced style of Hatha Yoga that integrates the body, breath and mind through practicing traditional and innovative yoga poses, breathing and meditation techniques. It helps balance strength and flexibility, builds confidence, intention, awareness and spontaneity. This practice of self-transformation and refinement leads to an overall sense of improved physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, starting with your first class. This class is well suited for all levels. Everyone is welcome and modifications are given to suit you!

Yoga Basics

A place to begin. The intention of this class is to offer a space for cultivating breath and body awareness through yoga. A combination of flowing sequences and longer holds of poses are used to strengthen and stretch the body. Options and variations are always offered to suit your body's needs. Principles of alignment, breath awareness, and relaxation are all a part of this hour long class. Everyone is welcome.
Yoga with Silks – Restore, Rejuvenate, & Rest
Restore, Rejuvenate & Rest with Silks is a Yoga practice of ‘Being’, rather than ‘Doing’. This class relies on the use of our elevated fabric hammock style silks using gentle sequences specifically designed to support the body. This allows your muscles to utterly relax and melt into place instead of stretching and straining into position. As your body finds the shape of the posture and melts into place your nervous system switches to calmness and a deep inner healing mode as your body is supported by the fabric. No matter what your level of fitness, the silks is a wonderful way to relieve stress, calm the mind and balance the body. All classes will have detailed pranayama (breath control) and a cocoon style meditation. No Yoga experience is necessary.

Teen Community Yoga

In this class, geared for ages 13-17, we will be incorporating the importance of breath, relaxation, and asana practice to educate teens on the importance of slowing down, putting down their cell phones and computers, moving away from the TV and onto their Yoga mats to de-stress and renew their bodies, minds and spirits. This complementary class is for males and females and no previous Yoga experience is required. Although this is a free class, we do hope to inspire teens to go out into the community and volunteer to help others in return. Prerequisite: None

Joyful Yoga

An integrated approach to yoga, aligning the movement of the body with the flow of the breath to create a balanced sequence of postures, breathing techniques and meditation. Poses are taught from the foundation and modifications are given allowing students the opportunity to work at their own level. 

    Pilates Mat

This class is for beginner level students as well as for students that want to focus on consistency with the fundamentals of their practice. Time will be taken to focus on basic skills so that a good grasp on the technique can be developed and progressed with time.
